What do you mean by Indoor Air Quality? Your indoor air quality refers to the cleanliness and humidity of your air and how it relates to your health.
How can I improve my Indoor Air Quality? You can improve your air quality by adding many types of products to your system.

AIR FILTERS
• The most common addition is a media filter. A media filter is a large 4”-5” filter designed to remove small dust particles from the air. Media filters also allow more air flow to the furnace as opposed to a standard 1” pleated filter. Media filters can usually be easily added to any duct system. |

AIR CLEANERS
• The next step up from a media filter is an electronic air cleaner. These systems work by electronically removing the particles in the air. Pond’s recommends the Trane Clean Effects or the Lennox Pure Air. These systems remove even smaller particles including harmful viruses and bacteria from the air. These products can usually be installed on any duct system. |

AIR & SURFACE CLEANERS
• Air and surface cleaners work much differently than filters. This cleaner does not remove any particles from the air, but it works by sterilizing the air and all surfaces that the air lands on. Activtek products can help remove harmful bacteria from countertops and other surfaces, allowing your home to be better protected from viruses and bacteria. These products can be easily added to any duct system. |

HUMIDIFIERS
• Humidifiers work by introducing moisture into the air leaving the furnace and going into your home. In Utah, humidity in the winter can reach a critical low, causing your airways to become dry and susceptible to illness. Humidity allows you to breathe easier and improves your skin health. Humidifiers also maintain the level of moisture in your furniture, such as wood products and cabinetry, making them last longer. Homes with a proper level of humidity also feel warmer and experience less static electricity. Humidifiers can be installed to most duct systems where a water line and electricity is available. |
Quick Tip: Changing your filter regularly makes a difference. A clean filter removes more particles from the air and allows more air to access the system. More air means better performance and a more comfortable home.
